Writings on Education, Eco-Justice, and Revitalizing the Commons

Ecojustice Press

The Ecojustice Press was established for the purpose of enabling readers to have access to ideas that address such critical issues as the environmental crises, the globalization of market liberalism that is undermining what remains of the world’s diverse cultural and environmental commons, and the rise of various forms of fundamentalist based authoritarianism that are weakening our democratic traditions. As the thinking of most editors and reviewers is still based on the cultural assumptions that underlie these global trends, and as the market along with the need to enforce political correctness have increasingly become the main criteria for determining whether a book will be published, the Ecojustice Press offers a viable alternative to these further restrictions on the cultural commons. The Press will be host to other online books that address the educational reforms that will help to reverse or at least challenge these trends. As part of the commons the books may be downloaded without charge.
